Qatar Airways recently announced it is planning to begin its flights services between Doha and Philadelphia in April next year. The airline in a statement said that daily flights on Doha-Philadelphia route will start from April 2, 2014. The flight will be operated with the help of a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.

According to Qatar Airways, the flight on Doha-Philadelphia route was earlier scheduled to start from March 1, 2014. The launch has however been delayed by a month. The airline is currently operating flights to other U.S. cities including Washington, New York, Houston and Chicago.

Meanwhile, Qatar Airways is all set to join the leading global airline alliance oneworld by October 2013. The large international flight network that Qatar Airways would get access to by joining oneworld would provide customers multiple travel options and access to cheap air tickets to various destinations worldwide.

Qatar Airways’ oneworld membership will help it to coordinate flights, flight schedules and systems in association with other oneworld member airlines, including Japan Airlines, LAN, Malaysian Airlines, Cathay Pacific Airways, Royal Jordanian Airlines, Qantas Airways and Iberia Airlines.
