| Effective Ways to Reduce Business Travel Costs |
Fare Buzz Nov, 2009 |
|
NEW YORK, N.Y. -- According to Fare Buzz, business travel is considered to be an essential tool of commerce in both large and small companies. In fact small companies seem to have a greater reliance on business travel as they often lack the visibility of large companies. Moreover small companies have to compete with large companies in order to acquire new customers as a result of which they have to often invest substantially in business travel for face-to-face client and sales generating meetings. It is estimated that in large firms business travel costs make up three to five percent of sales but in smaller companies this business travel component tends to be much higher.
A recent study conducted by the economic forecasting agency, Oxford Economics states that there is a definite link between business travel and corporate profitability. It goes on to add that every dollar spent on travel by a US company can generate an average of $3.80 in profit and a $12.50 in revenue. However, due to the current ongoing economic downturn, several companies across the board have cut back or drastically reduced their business travel spends in recent months. The study concludes that this should be considered as 'a penny wise and pound foolish approach' as the bottom line benefits that accrue from business travel are in fact achieved by most businesses over a long time horizon.
Rather than cutting back or eliminating business travel totally, companies should look to reduce and effectively manage their business travel costs in order to continue to avail of the advantages of business travel in a challenging economic climate. Travel expenses can be managed more efficiently if a company takes these simple actions toward organizing its travel activity and curbing its business travel spending.
Essential business travel trips:
Companies who have a regional or global footprint tend to rely quite extensively on business travel, however if business travel costs need to be reduced, then such companies should try to limit their business travel to essential trips that only involve face-to-face client meetings and to those trips which are exclusively sales related or meant solely for incentive purposes.
Partnering with a travel agency:
If you are looking to reduce business travel costs for your company and do not have a partnership with a business travel agency now is the time to get one. A professional travel agency like the New York City based travel agency, Fare Buzz can help you outline your travel goals and build and enforce a business travel policy that fits your budget and business goals.
Negotiating with suppliers:
After you have outlined your goals and set down the rules for employee travel, you can then attempt to renegotiate rates with your regular suppliers like airlines or hotels or even shop around for new lower cost suppliers. However if you attempt to do this on your own you might not be as successful as you would be if you allowed your partner agency, Fare Buzz to negotiate on your behalf. Fare Buzz has exclusive contracts with more than sixty domestic and international airlines and can thus effectively negotiate to acquire cheap business class air fares.
Free travel on award tickets:
Fare Buzz is the country's leading supplier of cheap business class tickets. Fare Buzz through its special relationship with a whole host of airlines manages to procure wholesale cheap business class flights which it then offered for sale to its clients. These cheap business class airline tickets come loaded with all the perks of full priced tickets like mileage accrual. Miles so earned can then be used to procure free future business class travel and further savings. In fact Fare Buzz also operates its own rewards program in conjunction with American Express rewards cards and every flight, hotel, vacation package and car rental booking that you book through Fare Buzz earns you points which can be redeemed at more than 200 of the nation's retail and travel outlets.
Monitoring reports to track business travel spending:
The experienced and knowledgeable team at Fare Buzz can help you monitor your business travel expenditure by providing you with reports that illustrate all your business travel expenditure along with details like names of staff who are booking trips.
So if you are looking for innovative ways to reduce your company's business travel spends or looking for options to effectively manage your annual travel budget, do get in touch with the New York City based travel agency at www.farebuzz.com or call 1-800-847-1963 today.

| Airfare Consolidator Fare Buzz Adds Hotels |
TravelNews May, 2008 |
Following its goal to become a one stop shop for travel agents, Fare Buzz, an airfare consolidator, has upgraded and revamped its hotel offering, to create a comprehensive hotel product.
The new hotel component is "substantial," said Arnold Walter, president and CEO of Fare Buzz. "We have over 100,000 negotiated rates… that’s domestic and international."
Walter estimated that the hotel content includes properties in 200 to 250 countries, and represents all hotel brands.
"Travel agents need to know that these are some of the best rates that we’re offering," Walter told Travel Trade. "This will give them a competitive edge over a lot of the other big retailers that are out there."
The new hotel program provides access to pre-negotiated wholesale rates, and best available rates, categorized as "Super Nets" and "Super Savers."
In addition to expanding the hotel offerings, Fare Buzz also revamped its hotel booking engine, adding tools for travel agents to mark up wholesale prices, as well as an online cancellation feature.
Walter stressed that Fare Buzz’s value to the travel agent is not just its deeply discounted air and hotel rates.
"We provide our content and our tools to be placed on our clients’ Web sites as well," he said. So travel agents with a good Web presence can put Fare Buzz’s booking engine on their site, so that their customers can book discounted prices on their Web site, rather than on one of the big online agencies.
"This will enable them and help them to retain their clients and not be losing them to other retail or online brands."
Agents that use the booking engine on their web sites can preset the prices as they like. Not only does this allow agents to have control over their own profit margin, but speeds up their commission payment as well. Since the commission is actually the markup, as soon as Fare Buzz gets the booking and the payment, they can send the commission to the agents.
"This will help our travel agent clients compete with the big boys out there."
"Our commission disbursement is basically the markups," Walter said, adding that the process usually takes about a week.
"That’s what travel agents want," he said." They cannot sit around and wait for their commissions."
Also in order to speed up the commission disbursement process, Fare Buzz implemented an automated clearing house (ACH) process, which allows the company to make direct bank-to-bank money transfers instead of writing physical checks. Walter said that approximately 10% of travel agent partners have signed up for the ACH and have expressed satisfaction with the process.
Walter also said more product offerings are in the works, though he would not give more specific details.
"We want to be a real one-stop shop, not just for the sake of calling ourselves a one-stop shop, but with real product offerings, so our clients can fill all their travel needs with us."

| The Buzz Grows Louder |
VacationAgent April, 2008 |
Fare Buzz, the air consolidator that sells only through travel agents, has substantially increased its hotel content while enhancing its hotel booking and pricing technology.
As an air consolidator, Fare Buzz, which has been in business since 1994, provides a website that enables you to book low-cost fares-negotiated, published, international, domestic, first and business class, and economy-and automatically build in your own commissions or service fees
Many of these fares, especially the international fares, are negotiated and deeply discounted. When you sell these fares and add your mark-up or service fee, you’re setting your own profit margins, as most retailers outside the travel industry routinely do. In addition, Fare Buzz pays commissions weekly.
By upgrading its hotel content and technology, Fare Buzz is enabling you to do the same with hotel rates as you do with airfares. And you can do all this online at the Fare Buzz website, which launched in August 2005. Fare Buzz also has a knowledgeable staff available seven days a week to assist you with any questions on all bookings.
The website has always had hotel content, from Sabre and Amadeus, but previously there were no net-fares mechanisms, and commission payments were made as they have traditionally been made-only upon completion of the clients’ stay, which could easily have been a few months after the booking.
But through Fare Buzz, not only are you giving clients an excellent hotel rate (the net and prepaid rates can be as much as 20 to 30 percent less than published fares), you’re going to get paid quickly. "Travel agents want to make money, and don’t want to sit and wait for the money," says Arnold Walter, CEO of Fare Buzz.
Since the company has had those capabilities available for air, it made sense to expand them to include hotels.
Fare Buzz gets its hotel content from the GDSs and hotel wholesalers, and from its own negotiated contracts. It offers hotels all over the world-as well as all major car rental companies-as part of its strategy to become one-stop shop for travel agents. It also sells round-the –world fares, net fares for travel origination overseas, Eurail passes and tickets, and limo fares.
The hotel system, which launched the first week of April, has robust reporting functions that agents can use to manage their business. It shows the type of tickets and city pairs they’ve booked commissions they’ve generated and similar information.
Once you’re registered with Fare Buzz, you simply log on to the site to search for fares; Fare Buzz lets you make search parameters as broad or narrow as you like. You can also add insurance, thanks to a partnership Fare Buzz has with the Berkley Group.
For $350, you can link the Fare Buzz site to your own consumer sites, enabling consumers to book on your agency site and generate bookings-and commissions-for you. The $350 fee can be waived, depending on volume.
The system automatically pre-populates booking fields with agency information. To use the site’s online management tools, simply enter a user name and password to see information on sales, commissions, refunds and booking activity, whether business was conducted on the website or over the phone.
Fare Buzz, which integrates with TRAMS, has also introduced ACH (Automated clearing house) payments, which enable the direct deposit of commissions. "It goes straight into bank accounts, so[agents are] getting their money faster," says Walter.
There are also plans to launch a rewards program. At the moment, Fare Buzz offers a $100 booking incentive with every international and first-class ticket.
One-Stop Shopping at Fare Buzz Promises Profits and Ease in Building Earnings |
JaxFax February, 2008 |
Many readers may not realize that Fare Buzz began its operations in 1994 as a two-person office and gradually grew to 40 in-house office staffers. Travel agents have been their partners through the vicissitudes of changing trends, economic dips and technological challenges that just keep coming. The firm’s staff has the combined experience of over 80 years in the travel industry. Arnold Walter, CEO of Fare Buzz talks about new products and the promise of even more streamlined service in the coming year.
JF: Fare Buzz (FB) Boasts about its product diversity, can you give us a short rundown on the most current products for agents – both Home-Based and traditional who are new to FB?
FB: Our product line includes: Low consolidator rates, exclusive Business/First-Class rates, Last-minute travel deals for domestic travel, round the world fares and circle trips, select rates globally for hotels and car rentals, net rates for travel originating from overseas destinations, trip insurance and group rates.
JF: How many agents work with Fare Buzz and do you have a preferred agent or agency structure in which agents can earn more on their bookings with Fare Buzz?
FB: We have over 25,000 agencies signed up, which equate to over 70,000 agents. All of our fares are NET and the agent has the ability to set their own uncapped markup.
JF: What is Fare Buzz’s definition of a "bona fide" travel agent?
FB: An agent that is an owner/employee of an industry identified organization – ARC, IATAN, CLIA, OSSN, NACTA, etc, or has a business license for a reseller of travel or travel related products.
JF: What is your criteria for working with or how do you qualify home-based and independent agents?
FB: They must be a member of one of the above organizations, a host agency or have a business license for a reseller of travel or travel related products.
JF: I understand last year you made a move to level the playing field for home-based agents, can you speak to that?
FB: Since the Home-Based market is the largest growing segment of the travel industry, our business model seems to be tailor made to suit their requirements: Home-Based Agents don’t need access to GDS since our booking system offers published as well as non published fares; Online Booking capabilities 24/7; One stop shop for Air, Hotels and Cars – they don’t have to turn away their clients anymore; Ability to add mark ups; Commission disbursement within a seek- now thru ACH; Phone Reservations and Live Customer Support 7 days a week; Now HB agents can compete with the Expedia’s and Travelocity’s since we can power their websites with our fares and booking engine (for those with websites); Online Reports.
JF: What, if any new technology have you introduced in the past year or plan to introduce in 2008?
FB: We are introducing a number of tools that will further enhance our service to travel agents: New Account Activity Reports including commission check information; Date and Time changes to reservations online; Credit Card Auto Correction online; Auto ticketing – faster ticketing and commission disbursement; and Flight Matrix that displays multiple carriers and their lowest fare available. Stay tuned for more new technology and product releases.
JF: From what I understand FB specializes only in air products, is this true? If so, what is the commission structure on tickets for the various classes, in other words how can agents maximize their profits with Fare Buzz?
FB: Fare Buzz does specialize in air – First, Business & Economy but we also offer Hotels and Car Rentals worldwide to provide a one stop shopping location for the agents. Fare Buzz offers private, exclusive and published fares to the Travel Agent community and they maximize their profits by adding their own markup to all fares.
JF: Does Fare Buzz plan to sell a land product as many consolidators do and plan to do? If so, can you tell us the mechanism behind the programs – who organizes them, a private label deal or do you have a direct contract with ground operators, if so where?
FB: We are currently looking at our options for future expansion.
JF: Fare Buzz is also a preferred supplier for large host agencies and consortiums, can you name a few?
FB: Fare Buzz is a Preferred supplier for approximately 48 Host Agencies and 6 Consortiums – EtravCo, Cruise Shopoes, ITGroup Network, WESTA, NEST and Agent24
JF: Finally, for new young agents and more experienced agents, what are some of the reasons FB is head and shoulders above its competition…the reasons agents should favor Fare Buzz?
FB: Agents no longer have to search multiple sites to find the best fares; FB offers price and availability in one search; offers a Price Meet or Beat Policy; Access to over 15 million fares to worldwide destinations; Uncapped Air Markups – Agents are free to add their mar up and retain 100%. We also offer three booking methods: by phone, online or by E-mail. And we offer enormous Product Diversity and we are agents’ reliable One Stop Shop providing the lowest fares and highest service. Additionally, FB furnishes performance reports via our password protected website which provides data on: Account activity, top city pairs booked, class of service sold, commission earned, etc. This feature is available free and downloadable 24/7.

After 10 years in the air consolidation business, Arnold Walter, CEO of Fare Buzz, had a vision - to level the playing field for smaller agencies and home-based agents. "Fare Buzz became the first company to successfully tap into the rapidly growing market of home-based travel agents through the development of a highly advanced, yet simple to use online booking engine, Farebuzz.com," said Walter.
With Fare Buzz‘s vast array of low cost fares, home-based agents have access to the same competitive fares and rates available to larger agencies, including full access to GDS fares. But unlike traditional host agencies, booking through the website involves no formal agreement or minimum productivity requirement and no monthly fee. "What Fare Buzz does is fuse travel and technology together so that agents don‘t have to search 10 different places for the best fares," said Walter. "It‘s a two-click process, which is much simpler than any other resource out there. Within minutes, reservations are booked and issued, allowing agents to compete with larger retail giants." Agents add their own commissions and also retain 100% of their mark-ups. Commissions are paid within eight to 10 business days and agents receive a cash bonus for every ticket issued.
"Furthermore,Farebuzz.com allows agents to grant their clients access to the site, as well as check their online activity at any given time with our online reporting system," said Walter." It‘s not surprising then that Fare Buzz is growing at a rate of 80-100% per year, with 60% of our revenue coming from online channels."
Farebuzz.com also offers convenient online payment, the ability to generate online account activity reports and live customer support 24/7.
The company prides itself on offering 'impeccable customer service' including a Price Meet or Beat Policy, an immediate commission disbursement policy and a Rapid Response Guarantee. A product guarantee also provides full refund and commission protection to agents in the event of a ticket error by Fare Buzz.
The New York-based company started out in 1994 with two people and has grown to a US$40 million enterprise with 60 employees, offering a diversified array of services including net rates for airfares with overseas originations and exclusive rates for hotel and car rentals available nowhere else.
Since launching in 2005, Farebuzz.com has registered more than 18,000 members. Members include an increasing number of corporate and incentive travel planners as well as cruise agencies. Fare Buzz is also a preferred supplier for a number of large host agencies and consortiums.

FARE BUZZ is generating huge buzz over online booking engine By Cindy Sosroutomo
FARE BUZZ, a New York-based air consolidator, is making it easy for agents to find solutions to all their travel needs.
The company has developed an online reservations engine to help level the playing field for an estimated 30,000 travel agents with small, home-based businesses. Farebuzz.com offers them free access to the same competitive fares and rates available to larger agencies, as well as full access to GDS fares. But unlike traditional host agencies, booking with Fare Buzz does not involve a formal agreement, minimum productivity requirement or monthly fee.
"What Fare Buzz does is fuse travel and technology together so that agents don‘t have to search 10 different places for the best fares," said Walter Arnold, CEO of Fare Buzz. "It‘s a two-click process, which is much simpler than any other resource out there. Within minutes, reservations are booked and issued, allowing agents to compete with larger retail giants."
Farebuzz.com also allows agents to add their own commissions and retain 100% of mark-ups. Agents will receive their commissions within eight to 10 business days, and also receive a cash bonus for every ticket issued.
"Furthermore, Farebuzz.com allows agents to grant their clients access to the site, as well as check their online activity at any given time with our online reporting system," added Arnold. "It‘s not surprising then that Fare Buzz is growing at a rate of 80-100% per year, with 60% of our revenue becoming from online channels."
The company has helped transform the image of air consolidation with impeccable customer service that includes its Price Meet or Beat Policy, an immediate commission disbursement policy, a rapid response guarantee and a product guarantee that provides full refund and commission protection to agents in the event of a ticket error by Fare Buzz.

| Win Airfare For Two With Fare Buzz |

What‘s all the "buzz" about? FARE BUZZ, an air consolidator, is celebrating the 1-year anniversary of its ground-breaking online booking-engine, farebuzz.com-exclusively for travel agents-with a bang. In commemoration of this landmark date, FARE BUZZ is offering the agent that books their airfares through its website by the end of October, a chance to win two free economy tickets for domestic or international travel. The more air tickets they book, the better their chances of winning.
Farebuzz.com was launched in August 2005 and offers a simple-to-use reservations system that enables agents to have access to a vast array of published and consolidated airfares and allows them to set their own commission rates and retain 100 percent of their markups. Spirit Airlines is the newest member of the FARE BUZZ family offering competitive low fares to the hottest destinations and a 5 percent commission on published fares.
"The primary goal at FARE BUZZ is to serve the travel agent," says CEO Arnold Walter. "The process in Farebuzz.com is simple. Agents can access everything online from running refund and commission reports, to adding their markups, right from the website." Agents can make all reservations online anytime via the Internet or by telephone with 24/7 live customer support.
"Something that has been lacking in the travel industry," points out Walter, "is customer service. When agents sign up for the free membership on Farebuzz.com, we have a team of five to six people that are dedicated to assisting that agent with a high level of customer service."
It isn‘t just the customer service that makes FARE BUZZ stand out, the company boasts that its Price Meet or Beat policy and full commission protection helps the agents maximize their sales opportunities by providing them with this cost-effective tool that puts home-based agents on a limited budget in the same league as veteran travel agents.
In addition, FARE BUZZ offers agents a bevy of incentives, including a mileage program where agents can choose to redeem the miles for cash, gift cards, a vacation or even a 3-year lease on a Ford Mustang.

| ABC Inks Consolidator Deal |

By Jennifer Merritt
ABC Corporate Services, headquartered in Rosemont, Ill., late last month announced a partnership with FARE BUZZ, a New York-based wholesale airfare and reservation company, giving its corporate customers access to consolidator fares available through FARE BUZZ‘S 24-hour telephonic services or its recently launched online booking tool.
Such partnerships began to take off during the past seven months, said Arnold Walter, CEO of FARE BUZZ, something he attributed to the January release of the company‘s online booking tool. "It‘s very user-friendly," he said. "Within two or three clicks, a reservation can be completed."
"The preferred supplier relationship with ABC Corporate Services is not the first of its kind for FARE BUZZ, a 12-year-old company that also works with Carlson Wagonlit Travel, Uniglobe Travel Management and TQ3 Travel Solutions. "We have been specializing in high-end corporate travel, but now with this tool that we‘ve developed we‘re promoting the low end of it and now we can cater to a lot of the home-based agencies," Walter said.
ABC Corporate Services chose to partner with FARE BUZZ because of its simple processes, according to company president and COO Beverlee Paterson. " FARE BUZZ provides a 100 percent product and service guarantee," Paterson said in a statement. "Plus, they ensure prompt commission payments seven days following each transaction-this is unmatched in the industry and a superior benefit for our customers."

This consolidator allows you to earn money and merchandise for booking air
By Kate Rice
Booking air remains a fact of life for many travel agents. That?s why 12-year-old consolidator FARE BUZZ now provides a website, Farebuzz.com, that lets agents book low-cost airfares-negotiated, published, international, domestic, first class, business class, and economy- and automatically build in their own commissions or service fees. Ultimately, FARE BUZZ plans to be one-stop travel shop that offers air fares, car rentals, and hotel bookings.
FARE BUZZ launched its site last summer, and within two months had 5,000 travel agent members. Membership is free, which helps FARE BUZZ build the volume that allows it to negotiate discounted fares and gives agents a fast way to make booking airfares more profitable.
In addition to offering consolidator fares, FARE BUZZ provides published fares through Sabre, meaning that agents can book air even if they don?t have a relationship with a GDS. ?This is now one of the most robust engines out there, especially for consolidator fares,? says Arnold Water, Fare Buzz?s CEO.
For $350, travel agents also can link the FARE BUZZ site to their own sites, enabling consumers to book on the agency site and generate bookings as well as commissions. Since Fare Buzz?s original specialty was providing discounted business (and first-class) fares to corporate travelers-which it still does-it is experienced at providing customer support with a round-the-clock support desk. It also has a group desk.
Travel agents simply log in and search for air fares. They can make the search as broad or narrow as they choose, seeing as many choices as possible or narrowing it down according to time, airline, or other criteria. They simply build in their commission, knowing what keeps the fare they?re finding competitive.
Agents also can add insurance, which FARE BUZZ can do through a partnership it has with the Berkely Group. In Addition, the company offers car rental and hotel bookings. It gets hotel content from Sabre, and finds car content through Sabre as well as direct relationships with the car rental companies.
Walter was surprise that the number of agents already booking cars and hotels on the site, and the company plans to beef up that content. Agents, however, cannot build in markups on car rentals and hotel bookings. FARE BUZZ typically splits those commissions 50-50 at the beginning, but will shift to as much as a 70-30 split with the agents with which it has established relationships.
The system automatically pre-populates booking fields with agency information. To use the site?s online management tools, agents enter their user name and password to see their sales, commissions, refunds, and booking activities. The company also integrates with TRAMS.
FARE BUZZ had traditionally worked with corporate agencies whose customers are more likely to purchase the first-and business-class fares that the company specializes in. The company?s new website, however, is becoming popular with leisure travel agents, according to Walter.
While the website does not specifically target home-based travel agents, it works well for them. The wide range of fares it provides and Fare Buzz?s customer support desk can help home-based agents distinguish themselves from the mega-online sites, according to Walter. FARE BUZZ sends out commission checks weekly, and does not wait until travel is completed.
Ignacio Alleyne, owner of A & C Partnership Travel Services, a home-based travel agency in Washington with six employees, has found that using FARE BUZZ has increased his agency?s commissions on airline tickets from a paltry few dollars to $10 or $15, depending on how low the original fare is and how it compares with other fares that are available in the market. Alleyne also appreciates the management tools that FARE BUZZ offers agencies, because they help both him and his agents to keep track of sales. In addition, he says the service is ?outstanding? and calls the site very ?user friendly? and ?clean.?
Through Fare Buzz?s ?Price Meet or Beat? policy, the company will honor or match all legitimate quotes by Tier 1 consolidators in the U.S. It answers all fare requests, except for some complex round-the-world and circle-trip requests, with a few hours. If FARE BUZZ fails to respond within 24 hours, it will provide a $25 discount at the time of booking.
In addition to commissions, FARE BUZZ pays booking bonuses of $5 for coach-class tickets and $100 for business-and first-class tickets. Its loyalty program awards points for bookings: 10 points for each coach-class booking and 100 points for every first-class-or business-class booking. Points can be redeemed for travel, gift certificates, or such merchandise as PDAs, computers, and for top performers, car leases.

NY Consolidator Fare Buzz Promoting Booking Engine to Agents |
Travel Trade November 2005 |
By Nick Verrastro
FARE BUZZ, the New York based air consolidator that grew out of a travel agency, has launched the online farebuzz.com booking engine and management tool and is aiming to expand its partnerships with travel agents, according to Arnold Walter, CEO.
FARE BUZZ.com offers travel agents consolidator fares, high commissions on published fares, hotels and car rentals. Also offered are live support for agents 24/7 and online reporting, said the CEO.
Business/first class airfares, now available by E0mail and phone, will be online soon, he added.
August Launch
Walter noted that since his company launched FARE BUZZ.com in August, 5,000 agents, including those who are members of two consortium partners, have joined-there is no cost to sing up.
FARE BUZZ is on pace to do $20 million to $30 million in sales, he added-a volume that Walter aims to triple as his company ratchets up its outreach to agents.
FARE BUZZ provides links to agents so that they can put a private label version of the consolidator‘s booking engine on their agency‘s Web sites, noted Walter. "Why lose that business to other travel sites?"
The CEO stressed that FARE BUZZ is strictly business-to-business and does not take direct consumer bookings.
He said that FARE BUZZ is also an ideal way for home based sellers to get into airfare sales because the consolidator maintains a 24/7 live support line, along with a FAQ section, so that help is available during the evening, when many home based agents sell travel.
"We are looking out for the needs of home based agents," noted Walter. "This is also a great product for cruise sellers because it offers them a way to make incremental revenue on an item that they traditionally have not sold."
Another feature for agents is the online reporting tool, said the CEO. Agents can view all their bookings activity with FARE BUZZ online and track their commission payments, which are mailed when the fare is paid for and not until after travel is completed.
"This is geared toward professional travel agents," said Walter.
"We are travel agents, so we know what travel agents want and we developed this site with agent input. We took our time and did it right."
Walter added that the FARE BUZZ booking engine is designed as a two click process-one to find a fare and the second to book it, with no follow-up calls required.
One Hour Process
The ticketing process normally takes about an hour, with E-tickets E-mailed to the agent.
Almost 100% of the FARE BUZZ tickets are electronic, said Walter.
"We want to reach out and show agents how simple it is to book these fares online. They don‘t have to shop around 10 different companies-just come to our site."
The FARE BUZZ CEO said 40 million to 50 million fares are in the company‘s database and agents can E-mail a request when they can‘t find a fare they want online.
FARE BUZZ also has a Fare Tracker program that archives all the agent‘s booking, allowing them to retrieve their records.
Walter said that his company‘s technology is continually being updated and that FARE BUZZ plans to add a dynamic booking engine soon, with air, hotel and other travel components.
Cruises and Tours
Plans also call for the addition of cruise and tour booking capabilities, he said.
FARE BUZZ has both a rewards programs and a loyalty program for agents.
Buzz Rewards pays $100 on business and first class and $5 on coach fares and the Buzz Miles rewards program allows agents to accrue points for cash and gifts-up to $6,000 in cash or the lease of a luxury car.
