Air China launches flights to Naha from Beijing

Air China recently launched flights to Naha from Beijing.
Air China has become the second Chinese carrier to introduce a regular flight service between Beijing and Naha, Okinawa Prefecture.
According to a statement by Air China, two roundtrip flights will be operated between the two cities every week.
The authorities of Okinawa Prefecture are hoping that with the start of new flight service there will be a significant increase in the number of Chinese tourists visiting Japan’s southwest island prefecture.
The inaugural flight touched down at Naha airport on January 13, 2012 to a rousing welcome by Okinawa Vice Governor Yoshiyuki Uehara.
A top official of Air China also said that in recent times Okinawa has also become a new option for Chinese tourists hoping to spend their vacations in Japan.
Hainan Airlines was the first Chinese carrier to begin flights between Naha and Beijing in July 2011.
