Air France strengthens partnership with Air Mauritius
Jan 24, 2012
Air France recently announced the strengthening of its partnership with Air Mauritius. The commercial partnership will enable Air France to increase its capacity to Reunion Island (Saint-Denis and Saint-Pierre) and Mauritius starting February 1, 2012.
Earlier, the two airlines signed a codeshare agreement in 2008, which allows Air Mauritius to use its code on Air France flights to serve various European destinations.
The partnership is aimed at creating new travel opportunities via Reunion Island as well as Mauritius. Besides, this will also help Air France passengers to earn miles between Reunion Island and Mauritius.
Currently, Air Mauritius operates up to seven daily flights from Mauritius to Reunion Island, Roland Garros and Pierrefonds airports.
During peak periods, Air Mauritius and Air France together conduct up to 18 weekly flights to Mauritius from Paris-CDG airport.
