Hawaiian Airlines Resumes its New Zealand Service

Hawaiian Airlines recently announced that it will be resuming its fights to Auckland International Airport. The airline during the 1990s operated Honolulu-Auckland flight, which however was discontinued after some time.

CEO and president Hawaiian Airlines said that Hawaii and New Zealand have shared some deep cultural connections over the years and it is a result of this same association that the airline decided to resume its service to this love Island destination.

With this flight connection, Hawaiian Airline has become the only American Airline to fly to Auckland. The airline will fly thrice weekly between Honolulu and Auckland i.e. on every Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

294 seater Airbus A330 will be operating on this route. Which is a transition from the Hawaiian’s regular Boeing 767-300, a 264 seater plan. Which means that A330 will offer passengers an additional 11000 air tickets per year.

Qatar Airways to Codeshare with JetBlue Airways

Qatar Airways recently announced a one-way codeshare agreement with JetBlue Airways between Washington Dulles International Airport and New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport. Since 2011 both Qatar and JetBlue have been interline partners offering customers the comfort of purchasing single ticket for JetBlue and Qatar operated flights. The passengers were also able to enjoy benefits like baggage transfer and one-stop check-in.

With this one-way code sharing passengers will now be able to purchase air tickets having Qatar Airways flight code for sector operated by JetBlue. With this agreement Qatar Passengers will be able to fly to 26 new destinations between New York and Washington. Some of the important destinations include Palm Beach, New Orleans, Fort Lauderdale, Buffalo, Phoenix, Salt Lake City and Jacksonville.

Akbar Al Baker, CEO Qatar Airways said that the airline is extremely delighted to expand its alliance with JetBlue, as this airline works towards service and quality, which is the focal area of Qatar also. He further said that with this codeshare, we will be able to expand our horizon and will be able to provide our passengers with more convenience.

Emirates to Axe First Class Suites on Its News Airbus 380

Emirates Airlines is redesigning its Airbus A380. Under this new design the airlines is planning to have just two classifications of seats, namely Economy Class and Business Class. This all new variant of Airbus 380 will not have First Class seats, as the previous version.

Tim Clark, president Emirates Airlines confirmed this news and said that this all new variant of Airbus A380 minus the First Class Cabins will be flying from 2016. He further said that the airline decided to go ahead with this new design as they have observed decline in the purchase of high prices seats. He said that this new version of aircraft will be operational on specifically those sectors where the demand for seats is high, but the customers are not willing to pay higher prices.

The new A380s will now be sporting Business and Economy Class cabins and an upper deck bar. The older version of A380s will be operational on Emirates most profitable long-haul routes.

Air France Launches Premium Economy Flights to Minneapolis

People of Minneapolis are in for a special treat courtesy Air France as they can now fly to Paris nonstop. Air France has decided to operate this nonstop seasonal flight from Minneapolis-St. Paul to Paris from May 21 through September 1, 2013.

This all new nonstop seasonal service by air France will be operated by an A340. This aircraft will have a total capacity of 275 seats. Where-in 30 seats will be offered under the Business Class category, 21 seats under the Premium Economy Class and remaining 224 seats under Economy Class category.

This seasonal flight will operate five weekly flights from May 21 through June 16. After which it will fly daily between Minneapolis and Paris until September 1, 2013. AF 697 will leave Minneapolis at 8PM and reach Paris next day at 11.25AM. Return flight AF 694 will leave Paris at 1.50PM and reach Minneapolis same day at 4.05PM.

Lufthansa Introduces Business class Flights to Hong Kong

Lufthansa is all set to launch a new air connection between Frankfurt and Hong Kong from Marc 31, 2013. The airline will be introducing all new Business Class seats on this sector. Operated by a Boeing 747-8, this sector will be Lufthansa's first East-Asian destination served by this 21st century interpretation of this fabled aircraft.

the all new business class seats introduced on Boeing 747-8 will feature seats that can be converted into a horizontal sleeping area at the press a button. The length of the sleeping space will be 1.98 meters. The seat will also have intuitive readjustment features, extra space for storage purposes and improved in-flight entertainment system. This all new jumbo will have 92 seats in its business class section.

Lufthansa will be flying daily between Hong Kong and Frankfurt. Flight LH 796 will leave Frankfurt at 10.05PM and reach Hong Kong nest day at 3.10PM. And LH 797 will leave Hong Kong daily at 11.20PM and land in Frankfurt next day at 5.30AM. Passengers interested in flying between Hong Kong and Frankfurt in ultimate comfort and luxury must book their tickets on this flight.

Qantas Airways offering discounted airfares to Asia

Qantas Airways, Australia’s national flag carrier and the country’s largest carrier, recently unveiled special flight deals to Asia.
 
The airline’s cheap flights to Asia offer has come at a time when it is entering into an alliance with Emirates Airline and wants to fill up 40 percent more seats on routes to Singapore that has resulted with this tie-up.

By providing discounted airfares to Asia, Qantas Airways wants to significantly attract more passengers to fly with it.

Simon Hickey, Chief Executive Officer of Qantas Airways’ international unit, said that now when the carrier has entered into an alliance with Emirates Airline it has still got a lot of capacity to fill.

Hickey said that the airline discounts offer would be effective from April this year as Qantas Airways will begin expanding its capacity to Asian cities. The airline has cut one-way fares to Singapore, Bangkok and Hong Kong. The customers are now being offered cheap tickets at $360 each way.

Air China offers best business class on upgraded Moscow service

Air China recently announced it will be increasing the flight frequency on its international route between Beijing and Moscow.

The airline is currently offering twice weekly flights on Beijing-Moscow route, but has now indicated that it is upgrading this to a daily service effective from March 31, 2013.

According to Air China, the outbound flight would depart from Beijing at 13.45 local time, while the return flight would depart from Moscow at 19.45 local time. The flight duration would be of 11 hours and 30 minutes.

The airline in a statement said that it would be operating the flights on the newly-revamped B777-200 aircraft. Air China further stated that the B777-200 aircraft would be configured in a two-class layout.

The airline said that the customers booking business class tickets for traveling on Beijing-Moscow route would enjoy new flying experience. The airline stated that the new business class cabins are spacious and are designed to ensure stress-free and relaxing air travel.
 
The customers would be offered lie-flat business class seats with headrest, adjustable footrest and lumbar support. They would also be offered personal in-flight entertainment systems with noise-canceling earphones.

ANA cancels Tokyo-Sea-Tac flights because of Dreamliner issue

All Nippon Airways or ANA recently announced the cancellation of flights services between Sea-Tac Airport and Tokyo.
 
The airline in a statement said that it has decided to take this step because of the problems it is facing currently with the newly-acquired Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircrafts.

The airline’s customers booking air tickets to travel on the route between Sea-Tac and Tokyo will now be confronted with serious traveling issues because of the cancellation of the flight services on the two destinations.

All Nippon Airways had started the flights services between Sea-Tac and Tokyo last year after acquiring the new Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.

After grounding the Dreamliners because of malfunctioning, the airline had tried its best to operate flights on this route briefly, but after facing problems the airline finally decided to stop the service on the route.

The Dreamliner malfunction has also resulted in grounding the service on San Jose-Tokyo route, as well as to other destinations across the world and in Japan where the Dreamliners were to operate the flights services.
