Vietnam Airlines Adds More Flights from London Gatwick

Vietnam Airlines recently announced it is adding more flights from London Gatwick Airport. The airline will be adding a fifth weekly service from Gatwick Airport to cope up with the rush during the peak summer season.
 
The passengers traveling between Ho Chi Minh City and London would get more flight options now and opportunity to book air tickets at cheap rates.

According to the airline, flights on Ho Chi Minh City route will now be increased to three flights every week from the existing twice weekly service. The airline will however continue to operate its twice weekly flights services to Hanoi.

The airline disclosed that it is planning to increase its flight frequency to seven times every week by 2015.

Austrian Airlines Refurbishes its Business Class seats

Austrian Airlines recently announced that it will be refurbishing all its long-haul business class flights. All the 10 Boeing 777 and Boeing 767 aircrafts operating long distance flights for Austrian will be undergoing this change.

Providing further details Austrian Airlines said that their present business class seats will get replaced with the lie-flat seats, and now will no more have to travel their journey on recliner seats. the new lie flat seats will be just under 80 inches in length, 24 inches wide and will have retractable armrests. Power sockets and USB ports are some additional highlight on these new business class seats.

Apart from improving their business cabin seats, the airline will also be improving the interiors and in-flight entertain system present in this Elite Class. A whole new color scheme for the interiors and touch screens behind every seat back are some of the prominent changes that passengers will witness in the coming days.

Air France Inaugurates Kula Lumpur Service from Paris

Air France in collaboration with KLM in an attempt to further strengthening its presence in South East Asia, has started new service between Kuala Lumpur and Paris. The airline will be operating three weekly night-flights between the two cities.

Operated by Boeing 777-2000 aircraft the airlines will be offering air tickets under four different classes. With a total of 246 seats, 170 seats will be available in Economy, 24 seats in Premium Economy, 48 seats in Business and 4 seats in Premier class. With the new addition passengers will now be able to connect to over 240 cities across the world when they depart from Amsterdam-Schiphol and Paris-Charles de Gaulle.

Air France along with KLM flies to 24 cities in Asia and operates over 200 flights every week between Asia and Europe. CEO and Chairman of Air France, Alexandre de Juniac said Kuala Lumpur a favored destination amongst European travelers. And there are strong economic tie ups between both Europe and Asia. Hence Kuala Lumpur was our obvious choice as our next pit stop.

Spirit Airlines Adds More Routes from Myrtle Beach

Spirit Airlines has now more to offer Myrtle Beach travelers as they have decided to add two more routes from Myrtle Beach. Starting this week the airline will now be operating cheap flights to Baltimore/Washington and Philadelphia from Myrtle Beach International Airport.

In a press note issued today the airline said they will begin flying to Philadelphia and Baltimore from April 25, 2013. Since Myrtle Beach is a popular golfing destination immensely popular amongst the golfers of Philadelphia and Baltimore, hence the airline has decided to operate nonstop flights to both the cities.

Philadelphia-Myrtle Beach flight will leave Philadelphia at 0820 hours and reach Myrtle Beach at 0955 hours. Return flight will leave Myrtle Beach at 1200 hours and reach Philadelphia at 1325 hours. Baltimore-Myrtle Beach flight will leave Baltimore at 1045 hours and reach Myrtle at 1210 hours. Return flight will leave from Myrtle Beach at 1720 hours and land in Baltimore at 1840 hours.

Delta Improves Business Class Seats on A330 Aircrafts

Delta Air Lines recently declared that it is upgrading its BusinessElite cabin class seats. Delta will now be offering business class travelers with lie-flat seats on all its Airbus A330 aircrafts. In order to provide more legroom to passengers traveling in Economy Comfort and Coach Class, the airline will be using slimline seats offered by BE Aerospace.

The upgraded BusinessElite cabin will now offer 34 lie-flat business class seats. All the 34 seats will have direct access to aisle and will be 78 inches long and 20 inches wide. Each seat in this section will have a 15.4 inches wide screen for in-flight entrainment purposes; where in passengers will be able to enjoy television programs, games and movies. Each seat will be fitted with USB port, a 110 voltage power outlet and a LED light which can be adjusted as per the requirement of the individual.

Economy Comfort class fitted with 32 slimline seats will offer additional 50 percent tilt and 4 inches of legroom. After slimline seats even Coach Class will offer passengers will more legroom.

United Airlines Improves Its Connectivity in Central America

United Airlines recently added few more Central American cities to its network. From April 13, 2013 United has started operating flights from Washington D.C. to Guatemala City and San Jose and from Chicago to San Jose.

United Airlines in a press conference said that it has increased its Weekly Service to Central America by offering few more nonstop flights from its hub at Washington-Dulles International Airport and Chicago O'Hare International Airport. These new routes will complement United’s existing routes from Houston and New York to San Jose and Guatemala City.

Serviced by Boeing 737-800 aircrafts all the three new routes will be offering air tickets to passengers under three categories. These new routes will provide 16 United Business class seats, 48 Economy Plus seats and 90 Economy class seats. United’s Direct for Latin America Onshore and Caribbean Sales, Millie Uriarte said that with these new sectors we will be able to further improve over network in the Latin American Region. Also our passengers will be able to enjoy convenient options for travel.

SAA Wins Best Business Class Product Award

South African Airways was recently awarded for its business class for industry experts. Germany based travel magazine, FVW awarded SAA with a "best business class product" for its business class segment, amongst other Star Alliance carriers.

The magazine had conducted a Mystery Shopper project, under which it evaluated Star Alliance carriers operating long-haul business class flights from Germany. SAA scored a promising 94 points out of 100, overshadowing three major European carriers. SAA General Manager Operations, Zuks Ramasia said that we are happy to receive such a big honor. This award yet again affirms our belief that our efforts are being noticed by passengers and industry experts. He further said that we will continue to offer our passengers commodious and comfortable travel experience in the years to come.

Mystery Shopper project judged the carriers on the basis of various facilities, in-flight entertainment options, and seat comfort, food, ambiance etc offered under their business class category. The airline scored high for its comfy fully lie-flat seats, bedding, lounge, food and over all service.

Aeromexico Introduces Premium Economy Class

Aeromexico is a press note declared that it is launching premium economy class "AM Plus". Located in the first three rows of the aircraft, AM Plus will offer passengers features like extra leg space and seat with increased comfort.

All the Boeing 737 aircraft’s of Aeromexico will be fitted with the all new premium economy seats. Aeromexico passengers flying on AM Plus will be able to enjoy extra tilt in seats, legroom spaces increased by 4 inches, seats with leather headrests, etc during their flight.
