On March 28th, China Airlines will launch the UK’s first non stop service to Taipei. According to Airlines, Flight will operate thrice a week to the Taiwanese capital from Heathrow, competing with EVA Air; the Chinese island’s other carrier, which flies daily to Taipei via Bangkok.
China Airlines main aim to launch this connection from Taipei, including Bali and Sydney is to attract the ex-pat community plus business travelers, as Taiwan has a large manufacturing industry, particularly for hi-tech goods.
China Airlines will operate an Airbus A340-300 aircraft with 30 seats in business class and 246 in economy and return fares from London to Taipei start at USD 554.
