All travelers from Budapest to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol will now require undergoing an extra security check upon arrival.

The new regulations have been made mandatory by the European Union.

Flight schedules of some of the flights from Budapest to Amsterdam have been adjusted to ensure that travelers from Budapest via Amsterdam are able to catch their connecting European or intercontinental flight.

The flight schedules are as follows:
  • KL 1972 (06.50h – 09.00h) – new schedule: 06.30h – 08.40h
  • KL 1976 (13.25h -15.35h) – new schedule: 13.10h – 15.20h
  • KL 1978 (17.30h – 19.40h) – new schedule: 17.25h – 19.35h
Usually, a passenger travelling from Budapest via Amsterdam generally needs a minimum transfer time, which is 40 minutes to catch a European flight and 50 minutes for an intercontinental flight. However, with the new regulations in place a passenger would need another extra 20 minutes to undergo the extra security check upon arrival.
