American Airlines, British Airways and Iberian Airlines recently inaugurated their first joint lounge at the Miami International airport. The newly-opened lounge is equipped with exotic spa-like showers. The visitors are also treated to complimentary lunch, afternoon tea and light supper menu such as soup du jour facilities. The lounge includes other facilities such as seating for 120 guests, business centre with HP Compaq dc 7900 PCs, two TV lounges, and a children’s room.
The opening of new lounge on the fifth floor of Concourse E will replace the American Airline’s Miami E Admirals clubs. The lounge will remain open from 1.00 pm to 9.00 pm for oneworld International first and business class passengers and also for the Emerald and Sapphire card holders and passengers traveling by the American Airlines operated transcontinental full fare first class or full fare business class tickets. The Admirals Club members departing from Concourse E shall also enjoy the lounge benefits.
The passengers will be served with food and beverages that includes free wine, beer, spirits, coffee, tea, soft drinks and mini sandwiches. All the three airlines flights and American Airline’s subsidiary American Eagle flights depart from the Terminal E. The opening of the new lounge is being considered as a beneficial move for passengers.
