To facilitate its passengers BMI
, the British flagship carrier recently launched mobile booking site. BMI customers can now access the new site at mobile.flybmi.com and search flights, book air tickets and pay for one of the best airline tickets from their smartphones.
The users will also be able to manage the bookings made for plane tickets, check flight status, airport and timetable information. The Diamond Club miles members will be able to calculate their earned miles balances.
With this new launch BMI has become the first British airline to provide dedicated mobile site with flight booking capabilities, check-in, and flight status and loyalty scheme facilities. Other international airlines such as Singapore Airlines offer mobile sites from where customers can book flights and British Airways offers mobile site ba2go.com, where users can only access for flights and cannot reserve them.
In 2008 BMI was the first to offer mobile boarding passes to its customers.
