Scoot, a Singapore based low-cost carrier, announced that it will offer a new in-flight entertainment service to its passengers. Under this service passengers will be able to stream the content on their mobile, tablets and other Wi-Fi devices.
This new service will be known as ScooTV, and will offers passengers with a range of popular television shows and blockbuster movies, which the passengers can view on their own gadget during their flight. ScooTV service will be made available to passengers flying under all cabin classes.
Passengers flying on Economy class will have to pay $12, while ScootBiz (airline’s premium economy-type cabin) passengers will be able to enjoy this service for free. The airlines will also provide Wi-Fi enabled devices on rent to passengers flying without a device.
Scoot flies cheap flights to several destinations within Singapore and to Sydney, Bangkok, Taipei, Tokyo, Shenyang, Gold Coast, Qingdao and Tianjin. The airline has been in operation since November 1, 2011.
