Spirit Airlines recently announced it will be adding new nonstop flights to Las Vegas from two cities in the United States in April this year.
The airline in a statement said that it will add one daily nonstop flight each from Baltimore-Washington and Philadelphia to its Las Vegas schedule starting from April 25, 2013.
The launch of additional flights to Las Vegas from the two destinations would offer more travel options to its customers enabling them to book cheap tickets.
Spirit Airlines by launching new nonstop flights to Las Vegas aims to give stiff competition to its rival Southwest Airlines head-to-head, by picking its spots on the clock.
According to the airline, Southwest Airlines’ latest flights depart at least five hours earlier and land before 1 am. However, Spirit Airlines flights to both the destinations would be overnight red-eyes.
Spirit Airlines started expanding its flight schedule from Las Vegas’ McCarran International Airport in mid-2011, thus making it the second-busiest station for the airline.
Currently, as of January 2013 Spirit Airlines is operating 131 flights every week out of McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas.
