Garuda Indonesia, an Indonesia based airline, will be flying from Jakarta to London Gatwick airport. In an announcement the airline said that it will be flying 6 weekly nonstop flights between the two destinations.
Brand new B777-300ER with a seat capacity of 300 passengers will be operating this nonstop Jakarta Indonesia flights. This aircraft will be equipped with Wi-Fi facility and there will be a in-flight chef for the business class passengers.
Stewart Wingate, CEO of London Gatwick Airport said that the airport is extremely happy the airlines choose Gatwick to fly this very important route. He said that Indonesia is an important business market for the UK, however till date there were no direct flights between UK and Indonesia. With the start of this new route UK travelers will now get more access to choice when planning to travel this region.
Jakarta Indonesia airline is also planning to offer new routes to Brisbane and Auckland in the coming future.
