Canada’s second-largest carrier WestJet Airlines, which operates domestic as well as international flights, recently indicated that it will soon be announcing the destinations to be served by its new regional subsidiary Encore.
The airline announced that as for now it will only be revealing those destinations that will be served by its first two Bombardier Q400 turboprop aircrafts.
WestJet Airlines, however, said that it will be later on disclosing all the communities that would finally become the part of its new regional network.
The airline will be taking the delivery of its first two Bombardier Q400 turboprop aircrafts that would be deployed in Encore’s fleet in June this year.
The airline said that the additional flight schedule announcements would be made over the course of this year when it would be adding five more aircrafts to Encore’s fleet.
Initially, Encore’s operations would be small. WestJet Airlines has, however, indicated that it will be planning to operate flights through its regional subsidiary Encore from coat to coast.
