Japan Airlines recently announced that those booking air tickets for traveling on Tokyo Narita-New York JFK route would get opportunity to avail the new Sky Suite onboard their flights.
The airline in a statement said that the new Sky Suite product would be launched on a B777-300ER aircraft to be operated between Tokyo and New York in early May this year.
According to the airline, the new Sky Suite product has already made its debut on flights to London Heathrow from Tokyo Narita in January 2013.
The airline disclosed that it had earlier initiated a revamp program to reconfigure all classes in its 13-strong B777-300ER fleet operating on international routes in August last year.
The airline’s B777-300ER aircrafts have been reconfigured in four classes – 8 seats in First Class, 49 fully-flat seats in Business Class, 40 seats in Premium Economy and 135 seats in Economy Class.
Japan Airlines is also offering ‘JAL Sky Wi-Fi’ service on select international routes, including Jakarta, Los Angeles, Chicago and New York. The airline has indicated that it will introduce the service on European routes starting from April this year.
