UAE’s national flag carrier Etihad Airways recently announced it is reintroducing its business class flights between Abu Dhabi and the South Indian city of Thiruvananthapuram.
The airline in a statement said that it is redeploying its two-class A320 aircraft on Abu Dhabi-Thiruvananthapuram route. The flights will be operated daily.
According to Etihad Airways, the customers booking business class tickets would be offered 16 Pearl Business Class seats.
The main features of the seats in business class cabins include electronically controlled recline as well as lumbar support, spacious leg and foot rest extensions, a personal in-built seat massager, in-arm meal tables, 10.6-inch touch screens and individual PC power supplies.
Neerja Bhatia, Etihad Airways’ General Manager – India, said that the airline considers Thiruvananthapuram as among the fastest growing cities in the state of Kerala and has been serving as a major business and trade hub.
Bhatia further stated that the airline has so far carried above 450,000 passengers on Abu Dhabi-Thiruvananthapuram route ever since the flight between the two destinations was launched in 2007.
