Turkish Airlines in a recent announcement said that they have added more flights on their Istanbul-Edinburgh route. In Past Turkish was flying four times a week between the two cities, which were increased to five times a week with effect from March 31, 2013.
Not just this, passengers are in for a further treat as they from May 20, 2013 will be able to book air tickets between this sector for all seven days of the week, as the airline will operated daily flights between the two cities.
Turkish Airlines started flying Istanbul-Edinburgh route from July 2012. And in a span for meager nine months this route showed unprecedented growth for the airline, resulting in this expansion plan.
CEO of Edinburgh Airport, Gordon Dewar said that with this decision the city of Edinburgh will now get several long-haul connections across the world. And hence air connections from Edinburgh Airport will further be strengthened.
