May is the Miami Museum Month; lots of participating museums come out with special offers and free entry programs. From May 2nd to 4th is the Grove Slam, a hilarious fishing tournament with bikini beauty pageants and much more. While music lovers will love the Mainly Mozart Festival which is to be held from May 12th to June 16th, the Redland International Orchid Festival is just the right place for nature lovers and photographers. On May 11th is the Family Pet Festival; watch a parade of cute costumed pets having fun in the vast grounds.

From June 6th to 30th, catch some of the best shows in performing arts, the Summer Shorts, short, fun mini-plays that are bite-sized, yet impactful. On June 8th and 9th is the Miami Goombay Festival, one of the biggest celebrations of black heritage in the United States. Foodies will love the Coral Gables Restaurant week from June 10th to 30th with versatile fare and discounted rates. If it’s street food that you’re craving for, head to the NorthBeach on June 26th for the Food Truck and Music Fest.

The Key Biscayne Fourth of July parade is definitely worth seeing; watch the display of patriotism by professional floats, special entertainment and jets show. Bayfront Park and Miami Beach are other venues where you can expect a splendid Fourth of July. The International Mango Festival is on July 13th and 14th; taste delicious mangoes from India at the Fairland Tropical Botanic Garden.
