Passengers booking air tickets on United Continental can now look forward to enhanced services. The merged U.S. carrier United Continental has decided to attract more travelers in flying with it by providing live TV in 200 of its aircrafts.
The airline in a statement said that passengers would be able to select among 100 channels while on board their flight. The live TV service would be offered to the passengers after paying $5.99 for flights of two hours or less and $7.99 for flights more than two hours.
The live TV can be viewed on seven-inch screens in the back of each seat. The programming can be started at the passengers swipe a credit card.
The passengers traveling in United First would be offered a complimentary service of movies, apart from live news, family entertainment and sports.
United Continental would also be installing satellite Wi-Fi in nearly 200 of its aircrafts later this year.
