Shaped like a giant claw, Grand Cayman Islands is the largest islands among the three Cayman Islands. It is the largest city besides being the capital of the Cayman Islands. Besides scenic attractions, the culture of this destination is equally rich. Mardi Gras Festival on the Waterfront in George Town is one of the well known events that are held in the city. During these events, people enjoy painting their faces, catching beads, enjoying live music and foot tapping dance. The visitors coming from far and wide places enjoy the revelry with gay abandon. The entry is free, and the festivities began from mid day.

Damian Marley Concert is another event that attracts huge crowds. During this time, in Camana Bay, Damian Marley performs during the Festival Green. With soulful music, one can enjoy refreshing drinks and excellent cuisines.

Nature lovers can enjoy a riot of colors by attending The Cayman Islands Orchid Show. Exotic orchids in a variety of colors can be seen. Winter Music Festival also attracts a large number of tourists. Local, as well as international musicians, come here to display their music abilities and skills. The festival goes on for two days. Traditional Irish songs can also be enjoyed during this festival.
