Monopoly of Carnival in the Amazing Dusseldorf

A popular city located in Western Germany, Dusseldorf is situated on the banks of River Rhine. It is a prominent economic center of Western Germany. This city is well known for its scintillating night life, events, carnival, fashion and shopping. To know this destination better, it is significant to understand its culture and traditions. Dusseldorf is considered to be a monopoly of carnival.

The Carnival begins with handing over the keys of the City Hall to the women of this city. From Carnival Monday to Ash Wednesday, this Carnival goes on. Carnival Monday parade is a must visit event. The participants can be seen in colorful costumes singing and dancing on foot tapping music.
City of Dusseldorf organizes “Night of Museums” once a year in consultation with Ernst and Young.

During this event, about 37 art galleries and museums of the city stays open for visitors from 7 PM to 2 AM. Sculptures, paintings, artifacts, architecture, music, photography, natural history, video films and many other things can be seen by the visitors to understand the culture of the place.

Kirmes is another popular event that is held during the month of July. This is a fair that is organized at the banks of River Rhine. Here, visitors can enjoy Ferris Wheel, roller coaster ride, a flying Jinny, and many more fun rides. People can taste juicy watermelons that are sold in abundance. There is a beer garden too where visitors can enjoy a stroll. The event culminates with a stunning fire work display.
