There will be more options for customers booking Virgin Atlantic Airways flights for travel between Glasgow and Florida during the summer season.
The airline recently announced it will be adding more than 14,000 additional air tickets on Glasgow-Florida route during the summer season for meeting the growing demand from the Scottish holidaymakers.
The airline indicated that it would be increasing its capacity on this popular route by more than one-third in time for summer 2014. The airline would be operating flights on the route with the help of a Boeing 747 aircraft for the entire duration of summer schedule. The aircraft will be configured with 455 seats. Earlier, the airline was operating the route utilizing a 314-seat Airbus A330 aircraft.
Virgin Atlantic Airways said that by introducing a bigger Boeing 747 aircraft on the route the airline would be carrying up to 54,600 passengers from Glasgow to Florida, as compared to 40,420 seats up for sale this year.
