by Richa G 10. June 2013 09:40

Now Filipino passengers would get opportunity to buy air tickets at competitive rates for travel to Australia. Philippine national flag carrier Philippine Airlines recently announced the launch of new destinations in the land Down Under, Australia.

Philippine Airlines flights on new Australian routes started operating from June 1, 2013. The airline will operate weekly flights to several new destinations in Australia. The new routes where Philippine Airlines will be offering its services include Brisbane, Perth and Darwin.

Apart from the newly launched Brisbane, Perth and Darwin routes, Philippine Airlines is currently operating flights to Sydney and Melbourne as well.
Australia, the land Down Under, is currently home to nearly 300,000 Filipinos and is the 6th biggest source of tourists to the Philippines.

According to Philippine Airlines, the new frequencies on additional Australian routes will boost the airline’s total seat capacity to 7,400 weekly flights, thus making the airline the most active Philippine carrier to offer services on the Manila-Australia route.
