Passengers traveling without baggage can now look forward to cheap tickets when traveling on Swiss Airlines. The airline recently announced it is soon going to provide discounted fares to those passengers who fly with only take-on-board baggage.
By announcing cheap airfares to customers who do not have checked baggage, Swiss Airlines is following in the footsteps of KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and British Airways. The new offer will be applicable to those flying to/from Geneva. The customers will be able to take advantage of this new benefit effective from September 1, 2013.
Swiss Airlines will also introduce its new two-tier tariff structure for its services to/from Geneva in September this year. The airline will be offering two types of fare structure for travel in Economy Class. The new fares would be categorized as Geneva Economy Flex and Geneva Economy Light.
The passengers would be allowed to carry one piece of checked baggage along with rebooking and cancellation under Geneva Economy Flex fare. However, when booking Geneva Economy Light fare the passengers would be allowed to carry only a hand luggage. They won’t be offered rebooking or cancellation benefit.
