Air France has announced its decision to deploy yet another Airbus
A380 on its Paris-Shanghai route. A380 is the modern, technically
advanced, wide body, double-decker aircraft. Many airlines are gradually
adding this aircraft to their fleet. The premier airline has plans to
increase the frequency of these A380 planes to four times per week.
Currently it is using the service of three A380 in its itinerary.
Beginning September 2, 2013 the A380 will fly between Charles de Gaulle
Airport in Paris and Pu Dong Airport in Shanghai. Passengers who wish to
fly on this route can book Air France tickets
and experience the pleasure of flying on a double decker plane. With
the commencement of this service Air France will beat another European
carrier Lufthansa to become the first airline to launch A380 between
Europe and Shanghai.
As per the schedule, the superjumbo jet will depart Charles de Gaulle at
2320 hours and arrive in Shanghai at 1620 hours local time three times a
week. The return flights will depart Pu Dong at 2320 hours and arrive
in Paris at 0535 hours the next day. Early morning arrivals will allow
the passengers to align their onward travels or the day ahead in an
organized fashion. At present Air France operates two flights between
Paris and Shanghai.
