Air New Zealand offers premium economy on 777-200 and 747 planes

Air New Zealand, the flagship carrier of New Zealand is a name identical with luxury. The carrier operates service to 27 domestic and 29 international destinations across continents. The airline offers tickets in economy, premium economy, business, and first class.

The airline comprises premium economy class on its 777-200 and 747 series aircrafts. This class offers the customers more leg space and large seat pitch. Seat pitch on 777-200s is 41 inches while on 747s it varies between 38 and 40 inches. Customers can even enjoy 50% more recline than their co-passengers in the economy class. The seats are also equipped with in-built power and bottle storage nets.

On long haul flights, passengers can get to taste the best of Kiwi cuisine onboard. The airline has carefully designed the menu for passengers traveling on premium economy flights with the carrier. In consultation with the chefs, the airline has prepared a list of delicacies to be savored up in the air. Best of New Zealand wines compliment the meals and accentuate the dining experience. Even the crockery and cutlery is exclusively designed. This class also includes a self-service refreshment bar.

Customers also get unlimited access to more than 580 hours of on-demand entertainment on their personal 8.4-inch monitors. The noise cancelling headsets simply enhance the experience. One can choose from an assortment of videos, audios, movies, TV programs, and CD collections. The airline has carefully charted special leisure activities to entertain the young ones.

However, the customers can get to feel these privileges much ahead of boarding their planes as the airline offers premium check-ins for passengers at the airport.
