Jan 19, 2012
British Airways recently disclosed that its fleet is being repainted and will flaunt dove design to mark London Olympics 2012. The airline has hired a Brighton-based design professional to do the revamping job.
The designer exclaimed that he visualized the aircrafts as if they were birds, and thus made the new dove design as the central theme.
British Airways in a statement said that the revamped aircrafts will start making their appearance in the company’s fleet in April and will remain until January 2013. The airline officials also said that many aircrafts will also feature “Olympic color”, apart from the dove design.
However, the airline officials also made it clear that despite major design changes the aircrafts will continue to retain major features of their current identity.
The designer said that he intends to make sure that the design is stunning which will make passengers excited to fly on redesigned planes.
