Copa Airlines flights to 9th U.S. destination Tampa from Dec 16

Copa Airlines recently announced it will launch its flights to its newest gateway in the United States in December this year. The airline said that it will begin flights to Tampa starting from December 16, 2014.

Copa Airlines in a statement said that Tampa will be its 9th destination in the United States. The airline said that the city will be its 66th destination in its flight network. The airline will operate flights to Tampa from its main hub in Panama City four times per week. The airline will deploy a 124-seater Boeing 737-700 aircraft to operate the flight between the two cities.

According to the airline, the flights on Tampa-Panama City route will be operated on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The flights will depart from Tampa at 7.02 am and arrive in Panama City at 10.12 am. The return flight will depart from Panama City at 6.34 pm and reach Tampa at 9.53 pm. The return flight will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

Apart from newly-announced Tampa route, the other U.S. destinations where Copa Airlines is presently operating flights include Washington Dulles, Orlando, New York JFK, Miami, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Chicago O’Hare and Boston.

A travel expert said that the launch of new Tampa-Panama City route will be a game changer for the region. The new flights will provide multiple options to the customers from Tampa as they will be able to efficiently and seamlessly connect to various destinations in Argentina, Colombia, Brazil and Panama.
