Emirates Airline Offers Complimentary Ticket Upgrades

Emirates recently announced that it has started offering complimentary upgrades to its passengers from all US gateways.
The airline said that passengers flying Business Class will be eligible for complimentary upgrades to First Class when they book air tickets from November 1, 2011 through November 30, 2011.
Emirates in a statement stated that the complimentary upgrades facility may be used by passengers when traveling from New York (JFK), Los Angeles, San Francisco or Houston from November 1, 2011 through December 31, 2011.
The airline further said that those traveling in Economy Class from Los Angeles or San Francisco are also eligible for a complimentary upgrade to Business Class. However, to avail Business Class complimentary upgrade the passengers should book their Economy Class tickets between November 1, 2011 and November 30, 2011, and must undertake their travel from November 1, 2011 through December 31, 2011.
Providing further details, Emirates airline disclosed that this offer is also applicable to children aged 2 to 11, accompanied by an adult aged 18 and above, for full adult fare in the same class of travel. Besides, infants aged below 2 years and not occupying a seat will be charged 10 percent of the applicable adult fare.
According to Emirates, the passengers will not have to pay any change fee to originating travel undertaken before December 1, 2011, as well as no fee will be charged for making itinerary changes to return travel.
However, the airline revealed that the passengers availing Emirates A380 service (EK202) from New York (JFK) to Dubai International Airport (DXB) will not be eligible for Business Class complimentary upgrade to First Class.
