Hawaiian Airlines to increase frequency on Oakland-Honolulu route
Hawaiian Airlines has announced its decision to increase its frequency to Honolulu. The airline said that it plans to start a daily service between Oakland and Honolulu, increasing the frequency from four times a week. The new service will be launched on January 5, 2014. This service will connect Oakland as the only mainland United States city with the airline by a nonstop service.
The airline also operates flights on Mineta San Jose International Airport –Honolulu,Mineta San Jose International Airport-Maui, San Francisco-Honolulu, and Los Angeles-Honolulu routes.
The airline will also operate summer flights to Kauai and the Big Island. These destinations are a hit with travelers during this period and the airline believes the new service will add to its revenues. For the June 14- August 15, 2014 period the carrier will operate thrice a week seasonal flights to Kona, located on Hawaii’s west coast and Lihue, situated on the island of Kauai. These flights will boost its seats by 18,200 over a period of ten weeks. Passengers who wish to escape to the plush locales of the beautiful island can book Hawaiian Airlines tickets for a fun-filled time through the summers. Tickets can be booked for these flights through June 28, 2014.
