Iberia Airlines launching flights to Accra and Nouakchott in June

Iberia Airlines has planned to strengthen its presence in Africa further. The airline recently announced that it is all set to introduce Iberia Airlines flights to Accra and Nouakchott in June, thus giving Spain its first routes to the Wes African nations of Ghana and Mauritania.
The airline will launch its flights to Accra (Ghana) on June 1, 2012, while the flights to Nouakchott (Mauritania) will be introduced on June 3, 2012. The airline will deploy A319 and A321 aircrafts to operate flight services in these two cities.
With the launch of flights here, the number of destinations in Iberia Airlines’ African network will go up to 12.
Currently, Iberia Airlines’ African presence is strongest in the north and west. Besides, Iberia Airlines is also the 23rd largest carrier to operate between Europe and West Africa.
