Japan Airlines signs first codeshare with Air Berlin

Japan Airlines recently signed its first codeshare agreement with the premier German carrier Air Berlin (which styles itself ‘airberlin’). Japan Airlines flights code will be placed on Air Berlin-operated flights between Frankfurt and Berlin operated six times per week.
Japan Airlines will be able to put its code from February 12, after the codeshare between the two carriers is finally approved by the government. However, Japan Airlines flights tickets under the codeshare agreement are already available for sale.
The passengers making Japan Airlines flight reservations under the new codeshare agreement will get an easy connection option for traveling to Berlin, Germany’s capital city.
Currently, Japan Airlines operate daily flights to Frankfurt from Tokyo utilizing a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.
