Korean Air launches new lounge at Los Angeles airport

Korean Air recently launched its new lounge at the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). The new lounge will provide access to passengers traveling in Prestige and First Class. The lounge can also be accessed by 20 partner airlines of SkyTeam alliance, of which Korean Air is also a member. Los Angeles International Airport is among the biggest gateways in the United States for traveling to the west coast.

According to Korean Air, the newly-opened lounge is situated in the Tom Bradley International Terminal on the fifth floor. The lounge is spacious and is spread in an area of 1,320 square meters. It is 68 percent larger than the previous lounge and is designed to seat 135 additional passengers. The lounge has the capacity to accommodate a total of 305 passengers.

The lounge is equipped with various amenities and provides exclusive services to the customers. There are four private lounge rooms. Among other facilities offered here include a luggage depository area and shower booths. The balcony at the lounge provides a scenic view of the entire terminal.
The lounge has been beautifully designed.  The passengers accessing the lounge will able to enjoy Korea’s traditional beauty. The walls of the lounge are adorned with a painting of the famous Changdeok Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Korea.

Korean Air is presently offering a twice daily Airbus A380 service to Los Angeles from Seoul. The airline will be launching an additional flight to New York in May this year. This will be the airline’s second A380 flight to the city. Korean Air will also be launching a daily flight to Houston starting in May 2014.
