Qatar Airways to launch direct nonstop Doha-Tokyo flights in October
State of Qatar’s national carrier Qatar Airways recently announced it will be launching its direct nonstop flights between Doha and Tokyo in October this year.
The airline in a statement said that Qatar Airways flights to Tokyo will be launched from October 28, 2012. This initiative is aimed at significantly boosting the airline’s flight operations in East Asia.
Presently, passengers have to buy Qatar Airlines flights tickets to Tokyo via Osaka.
Qatar Airways flights to Japan were first introduced in 2005. The southern Japanese city Osaka was the airline’s first destination in the country. Later, the airline launched flights to Tokyo via Osaka in 2010.
The airline will be deploying its flagship Boeing 777-200 aircraft to operate flights on Doha-Tokyo route.
The aircraft on this route will be configured in two classes – 42 seats in Business Class and 217 seats in Economy Class.
