Access to free in-flight entertainment on Delta through Wi-Fi now

If you have booked flights on Delta Air Lines then you are surely in for a treat now. Whether you are traveling in BusinessElite, First Class or Economy Comfort, you will now be provided a wide choice of free in-flight entertainment offerings.

Media reports said that passengers traveling by various airlines have now become accustomed to pay for most services, including in-flight entertainment. This will however be not the case with Delta Air Lines now.
 
The reports said that Delta Air Lines has started offering free in-flight music, video games, TV shows and movies on all its domestic flights within the United States effective from August 1, 2014. The free in-flight entertainment will be offered via Delta Studio on flights of at least 90 minutes or even long duration.  

A spokesperson of Delta Air Lines said that the passengers will now be able to make use of the seatback-installed screens or through their personal electronic devices such as smartphones, tablets or laptops. The passengers can make use of the GoGo Air app to stream movies and TV shows on their personal mobile devices made available on the airline’s aircrafts equipped with Wi-Fi.

Those traveling in Economy Class cabins will however be provided access to same selection of in-flight entertainment offerings as provided in BusinessElite, First Class and Economy Comfort for a fee.

Travel experts said that the airlines will gradually be doing away with the ceiling mounted screens as well as seat-back installed screens. The airlines are now installing Wi-Fi in all their fleets and will prompt passengers to make use of their personal mobile devices for in-flight entertainment.
