Air New Zealand, other carriers’ passengers to enjoy access to new super-lounge at Los Angeles
Passengers buying air tickets and taking Air New Zealand flights will now be able to enjoy access to a new ‘super-lounge’ at the Los Angeles International Airport from next year. Air New Zealand is a member of Star Alliance.
Apart from Air New Zealand, other Star Alliance member airlines such as All Nippon Airways (ANA), THAI, Lufthansa, Asiana and Singapore Airlines will also be able to take the advantage of the facilities being offered at the new Los Angeles International Airport’s ‘super-lounge’.
The ‘super-lounge’ has been built at an estimated $1.7 billion as part of makeover of Los Angeles airport’s Tom Bradley International Terminal. The lounge is scheduled to be opened in May 2013 and will be managed by Air New Zealand. The ‘super-lounge’ will be three times the size of existing Air New Zealand’s Koru Lounge at Los Angeles International Airport’s Terminal 2.
Star Alliance in a statement said that the new ‘super-lounge’ is being built drawing inspiration by a contemporary interpretation of modernist LA architecture of the 1950s and 1960s.
