American Airlines unveil direct Hong Kong-Los Angeles flights

American Airlines announced the launch of its direct flights to Hong Kong from Los Angeles early September this year. The inaugural flight took off from T4 of Los Angeles International Airport for Hong Kong on September 7, 2016.

This is American Airlines’ second route to Hong Kong from United States. Apart from Los Angeles, the airline is presently operating daily flights to DallasWorth as well. The new Los Angeles-Hong Kong route will also be the airline’s 14th Asia Pacific service. Moreover, the leading U.S. carrier has entered into codeshare partnership with Cathay Pacific Airways to serve this route.

American Airlines while providing flight schedule of the new route said that the outbound flight would depart from Hong Kong at 08:20 hours and arrives at Los Angeles at 18:40 hours same day. The return flight would make its departure from Los Angeles International Airport at 01:55 hours and lands at Hong Kong International Airport at 08:10 hours next day.

The new service would be offering customers seamless connectivity options with over 220 daily flights serving nearly 70 destinations from Los Angeles International Airport’s “Terminal 4 Connector” allowing passengers easy access between Terminal 4 and Tom Bradley International Terminal without the hassle of rechecking their luggage.

American Airlines will be serving the Los Angeles-Hong Kong route with the help of a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. The airline has introduced an additional Boeing 777-300ER aircraft to serve the Hong Kong market. Earlier, the customers had to wait for long hours in Hong Kong for taking flights to Dallas/Fort Worth, but the launch of an additional aircraft for the second U.S. service the connectivity has vastly improved and traveling between Hong Kong and United States has become much easier.

The customers traveling between the United States and Hong Kong can take the advantage of competitive pricing introduced by American Airlines. The travelers from Hong Kong to U.S. East Coast and West Coast also stand to benefit with myriad connections across the airline’s extensive network in the United States.
