British Airways to restyle its short-haul business class seats

British Airways has announced to restyle its short-haul business class flights with new attractive features. These changes will offer passengers added personal space and solace.

The new design will have LED lighting system, which changes its color with mood. The light will change to blue color at boarding, candlelit at the time of dining, and soft white at the time of traveling and landing. The airline will also provide 4G Internet connectivity the first of its kind. The cabins will also have iPad holders and tray tables. The Club Europe Business Class will now offer a leg room of 30 inches, four inches less than its previous version, which will now be same as available in Ryanair.

The new design has retained its 2:2 seating configuration. The middle block’s Club Europe seats will have a central console table. This table is shared with two aisle seats. The side table provides a more usable space for travelers and has leather mat for keeping things. On the other hand, the seatback table will be used at the time of eating or while working. The new cabin will also emit five percent less carbon dioxide per passenger per kilometer.

The new design with exclusive features will be installed in the fleet of 95 Airbus within next 12 months period. British Airways is providing introductory offer to 22 European destinations. One million one-way seats will be offered at discounted prices in order to celebrate the creation of this new design.

The new cabin design was inspired by superjumbo A380 aircraft. In this aircraft the first-class travelers can stretch out in 14 suites and are 30 percent more spacious than other airplanes of British Airways. The new design was also encouraged by the 2012’s most advanced airliner Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
