British Airways to woo U.S. flyers with B787 flights to Tel Aviv

British Airways has announced it will be deploying its wide-body Boeing 787 and Boeing 777 aircrafts to operate one of its three daily flights services between Tel Aviv and London Heathrow.

The airline is planning to start serving the London Heathrow-Tel Aviv route with the help of its Dreamliner aircrafts effective from October 25, 2015. The flights BA 163 and BA 162 will be operated daily except for Mondays and Fridays inbound and Thursdays and Sundays outbound. The airline said that on these dates the route will be served through its Boeing 777-200 aircraft, which is presently offering a daily service.

Media reports said that other flights services being operated by British Airways on London Heathrow-Tel Aviv route are being served by narrow-bodied Airbus A321 aircrafts. The main objective of introducing wide-bodied Dreamliner aircrafts on this route is that the airline wants to serve its premium customers by offering business class seats in its Club World cabin. The airline will be offering premium economy cabins as well on this route.

The reports quoted aviation industry experts as saying that the strategy behind the use of wide-bodied Dreamline aircrafts by British Airways on the overnight flight from London Heathrow and the morning return flight from Tel Aviv is abundantly clear. The airline has made known its intention that it will be aggressively attracting customers from North America, particularly those traveling from New York.

According to the reports, flight BA163 will depart from London Heathrow at 22:30 hours and arrive at Tel Aviv at 05:15 hours. The return flight BA162 will depart from Tel Aviv at 07:35 hours and arrive in London Heathrow at 11:00 hours. The reports said that these flight timings perfectly complement the airline''s New York services and would be therefore beneficial in attracting travelers to New York.
