Cathay Pacific Airways to introduce new business class seats on all Australian flights by January
Cathay Pacific Airways recently announced it will be introducing new business class seats on all its flights to and from Australia by January next year.
The airline in a statement said that business class flights to/from Brisbane have already seen the debut of new seats at the start of October this year.
The airline said that the new seats in business class cabins would also be rolled out on flights to Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney.
Toby Smith, Cathay Pacific Airways’ General Manager – Product, said that the roll out would be continuing until January 2013. He said that the airline would equip all its international fleet with the new business class seats by January.
Smith said that the airline is planning to upgrade its entire international fleet of 31 Boeing 777 and 23 Airbus A330 aircrafts by March next year. He further said that Cathay Pacific Airways’ fleet of aging Boeing 747 aircrafts would, however, not be upgraded or equipped with new business class seats.
