Copa Airlines launching nonstop flights to New Orleans June 24

It will now be more convenient to fly to the United States from Panama than before. Copa Airlines has decided to launch nonstop flights to New Orleans from Panama in June this year.
 
The airline said that it will start operating nonstop flights to Panama City’s Tocumen International Airport from Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport effective from June 24, 2015.
 
The nonstop flights between the two cities will be operated four times per week. With the launch of new services, New Orleans will now become Copa Airlines’ 11th destination in the United States and its 71st destination globally. New Orleans was until now one of the only cities in the U.S. which didn’t have any nonstop flights services to Latin America.
 
Copa Airlines, while providing details about the new flight schedule, said that the flights from New Orleans will depart at 6.55 am and arrive in Panama City at 10.19 am. The flights will be operated on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Similarly, the return flights would depart from Panama City at 6.33 pm and reach New Orleans at 10.02 pm. The flights will operate four-times per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

The airline will be deploying a Boeing 737-700 aircraft to operate flights between Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport and Panama City’s Tocumen International Airport. The aircraft offers 12 seats in first class cabin and 112 seats in the main cabin. The duration of the flight will be approximately three-and-a-half hours. The launch of new service will help travelers from New Orleans to efficiently connect to 55 other Central and South American destinations from Panama.
