Copa Airlines to serve Princess Juliana International Airport
Those planning to buy airline tickets for travel to Princess Juliana International Airport at St. Maarten from Panama are in for good times. Copa Airlines recently announced it will operating flights to St. Maarten’s Princess Juliana International Airport starting from December 12, 2013. The airline will operate four flights every week from its Panama hub. Copa Airlines is the only carrier that links St. Maarten to Panama.
The decision to start the flights to Panama from St. Maarten came after Copa Airlines executives recently met with Thadeus Richardson, St. Maarten’s Minister of Tourism, Economic Affairs, Transport and Telecommunications, to deliberate on the issue in Panama.
Currently, Copa Airlines operates a flight network encompassing 66 destinations in 29 countries across the world. The airline operates a total of 1,800 flights every week utilizing 50 aircrafts. Copa Airlines said that its average load factor is in the high 80 percent, and occasionally surpasses 90 percent.
