Delta wins coveted Airline of the Year Award by ATW

Delta Air Lines has something to cheer. The airline has become the first U.S. airline in a decade to win the prestigious 2014 Airline of the Year Award by Air Transport World (ATW) magazine. The airline will receive the honor at the 40th Annual Airline Industry Achievement Awards ceremony to be held in Singapore in February this year.

The ATW awards are respected across the industry. The aim of these awards is to honor and acknowledge the contribution of achievers in their sector. The Georgia based airline has been serving the people of the United States for almost 84 years. It offers convenient business class tickets to its passengers to about 250 destinations worldwide. From the state-of-the-art technology to comfortable seating, delectable meals, generous and overwhelming customer service and smooth connections to far off destinations, the airline has achieved many feathers in its cap.

It has a list of awards to its kitty and has won many prestigious honors for its top class services in the last few years. This award is special for the airline more so because it is the first in a decade to be awarded to an airline from the United States.
