Discount Business Class: Greater Services, Lower Cost

Jan 18, 2012

As companies invest in growth and overseas markets, demand for business class travel continues to grow. Airlines are striving to develop new services to entice business travelers and increase their productivity en route to far flung destinations. Discount Business Class means more perks than ever before without painful price increases.

Lufthansa is polishing their in-flight culinary offerings for Business Class. The airline has hired two world renowned German twin chefs, Thomas and Mathias Suhrin, to revamp menus for international flights. Passengers will be treated to exceptional global fusion cuisine designed by the Suhrin brothers, who are famous for their creations at Mezzaluna Restaurant in Bangkok. Business Class discounts for Lufthansa flights are eagerly sought after by travelers with gourmet tastes.

Business travelers with a weakness for wine may seek Business Class flight deals on Japan Airlines. JAL is rolling out a new range of wines and champagnes at the end of January through the beginning of February. Selected by Fumiko Arisaka, renowned wine journalist, the new wine list has been carefully paired with JAL’s existing menus, and includes the famous Joseph Perrier Cuvee Royale Brut champagne. Flight attendants on Japan Airlines flights are qualified sommeliers and can advise travelers on available offerings.

Air France is refining and improving its Business Class cabins, making the airline another great choice for discounted business tickets. Over the last year, the airline has been upgrading all of its seating in Business Class. The longer, more spacious seat is not only more comfortable for passengers, but weighing in at 11 lbs less each, they are environmentally friendly. By the end of 2012, the new seat should be available on two thirds of the airline’s fleet. Business Class discounts on Air France also get business travelers a new and improved menu with signature dishes created by French chefs, and a more highly trained, customer service oriented cabin staff.

Other airlines are rolling out completely new offerings in this class, making available more options for Business Class discounts. Virgin Australia is replacing their Premium Economy cabin on many aircraft with a Business Class cabin. Brand new, luxurious leather seating in a spacious two by two configuration with power ports give travelers the space and comfort to relax or work. Mid-year, Virgin Australia plans to upgrade their current entertainment system to a wifi-based in-flight system on iPads.

Travelers will continue to find more perks available with discount Business Class as demand for business flights increases.
