Etihad Airways to start daily Flights to Istanbul
Etihad Airways, the national carrier of United Arab Emirates has declared to increase its connectivity between Abu Dhabi and Turkey, Istanbul.
The airline stated that its customers will get more options to book air tickets and take flights to Turkey from Abu Dhabi, which starts from January 1, 2013 on a daily basis.
Etihad Airways first started its flights to Istanbul In June 2009. Back then it flew 4 non-stop flights per week and within a span of few months increased its services to 5 flights per week.
Etihad Airways President & Chief Executive Officer, James Hogan in his statement said that this move has been taken keeping in mind the potential future growth, high point-to-point traffic flow and the great performance observed on the Abu Dhabi and Turkey sector. He further said that this daily service will increase connecting traffic to onward destinations across the GCC, Indian Subcontinent, North Asia and Australia.
Till date more than 20,000 passengers have been flown by Etihad Airways on the Abu Dhabi – Turkey route. Operated by two-class Airbus A320 aircraft this daily service is configured with two cabins –, 16 seats in Pearl Business class and 120 seats in Coral Economy class.
