EVA Air eyeing business travelers with new Taipei-Houston flights

EVA Air wants to attract business travelers flying between Taiwan and United States in a big way. The airline recently launched its new nonstop flights to Houston from Taipei starting from June 19, 2015. The specially tailored aircraft named ËVA Air Hello Kitty Shining Star Jet” was welcomed at Houston's George Bush Intercontinental Airport with the airline's Chairman KW Chang himself serving as captain in charge of the inaugural flight on a brand-new specially painted Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.

The new service is aimed at offering seamless and convenient connectivity to leisure and business travelers from the United States who want to gain access to various destinations in Asia, including Mainland China.

A spokesperson of EVA Air said that customers booking business class flights from Houston or traveling in other class would now be able to connect onward from Taipei to at least 10 cities in Southeast Asia, including Denpasar, Surabaya, Jakarta, Phom Penh, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and Singapore through 86 flights services.

Apart from Houston, other North American gateways being presently served by EVA Air include Vancouver, Toronto, Seattle, San Francisco, New York and Los Angeles. These destinations are being served with one-stop connections.

Currently, EVA Air will be operating thrice weekly flights services between Taipei's Taoyuan International Airport and  Houston's George Bush Intercontinental Airport. The airline will launch additional fourth service using a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft starting from July 8, 2015.

EVA Air offers 39 business class seats in Royal Laurel Class, 56 seats in Elite premium economy and 238 seats in Economy Class on its Boeing 777-300ER aircraft being currently operated on Taipei-Houston route.
