Icelandair to launch nonstop seasonal flights to Anchorage starting May 15 next year
Here’s good news for passengers looking forward to book flights to Anchorage from Iceland. Icelandair will start selling air tickets for flights to Anchorage scheduled to start next year.
Iceland’s national flag carrier Icelandair recently announced it will be launching its nonstop seasonal flights between Anchorage and Iceland starting from May 15 next year. The airline will be operating the seasonal service twice every week through mid-September 2013.
Apart from adding a new gateway in the Alaskan city of Anchorage, the airline will also launch flights to two new European destinations – Zurich and St. Petersburg.
Currently, Icelandair operates flights services to Denver, Seattle, New York JFK and Boston. The airline also offers seasonal service to Iceland from Toronto, Halifax, Orlando Sanford, Minneapolis-St. Paul and Washington D.C.
According to the airline, Icelandair’s service to Zurich will be operated four times every week, while there will be twice weekly flights to St. Petersburg.
