JetBlue Airways launches new automatic check-in service

Leading U.S.-based low-cost carrier JetBlue Airways has launched its new automatic check-in service significantly aimed at enhancing flying experience of its customers. The new service became effective from July 9, 2014.

This convenient service has undoubtedly enthused the airline’s customers. Providing details about the automatic check-in service, the airline said that its customers would be sent their boarding pass through email 24 hours before their scheduled departure. After receiving on email the customers will be able to download their Mobile Boarding Pass via JetBlue Airways’ Android mobile app or JetBlue iOS, or can also print their boarding passes directly.

A spokesperson of JetBlue Airways said that the customers with the help of new automatic check-in service will be spared of the hassle of logging on to their computer and conducting manual check-in for their scheduled flight. The passengers now have the flexibility of arriving at the airport at will and directly proceed for boarding.

JetBlue Airways however indicated that the automatic check-in service will be initially available only to those customers who have booked their tickets for travel to domestic destinations within the United States with Even More Space seats. The customers who are presently not eligible for the service will continue to make use of the standard check-in procedure which will remain functional as usual.

The airline indicated that it is planning to expand the service gradually and extend it to assigned core seats early next year. JetBlue Airways further said that the international passengers as well as those who don’t have assigned seats will also be able to make use of the service by the end of 2015.
