JetBlue launches service to 49th city, celebrates with low fares
JetBlue Airways that operates out of its main hub in Boston launched service to Houston, its 49th destination. The nonstop flight from Boston Logan International (BOS) to Houston's William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) took off today marking a landmark for the carrier. It will operate twice daily between these two destinations.
As a mark of its triumph and celebration the airline launched one-way cheap airfares between Boston and Houston starting at $129*. The sale is up from today through August 2 and is valid for travel between August 21 and October 31, 2013.
Purchasing tickets under the offers gives the customers a chance to earn double TrueBlue points between Boston and Houston, Austin or Dallas/Fort Worth. These points are valid for purchase through October 15 for travel till the same date.
Scott Laurence, JetBlue's Vice President of Network Planning and Partnerships said that their customers are up for a more convenient and comfortable experience with the airlines award-winning service on the new route. He added that arrival at Houston airport will give their business customers the mileage of accessing downtown Houston instantly.
As per the airline schedule the flights will depart Boston at 7.00 am and touchdown Houston at 10.00 am approx. The return flight will leave Houston at 10.35 am to land in Boston at 3.15 pm. The second flight will leave Boston at 1.40 pm and arrive in Houston at 4.40 pm approx. The flight will depart Houston at 5.20 pm to land in Boston at 10.00 pm.
