Korean Air to add more Business Class Seats to New York

Korean Air has announced its decisions to add more business class seats to New York. The popular South East Asian airline said that it plans to add another Airbus A380 double-decker plane between Incheon and New York. It plans to launch this service beginning May 25, 2014.

The flagship airline of South Korea is a preferred choice by business travelers on the route. At present, it operates a double daily service between the city pairs including one using this jumbo plane. This aircraft currently offers business class tickets to passengers and the upper deck of this plane is dedicated for these premier travelers. Of the 407 seats, it gives these travelers a choice to book one from the 90 full flat bed suits offered onboard.

The new flights will also ply between Incheon International Airport (ICN) and John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK). South Korea is a hub for various travelers including the ones with business interests in the country’s flourishing markets. Hundreds of these travelers arrive here each day from the thriving U.S. city. Hence, it makes sense for the airline to add more seats on this international sector and benefit greatly from the heavy passenger traffic.

Some of the amenities offered onboard this class include comfy 180-degree flat bed seats, options to adjust the seat position as per convenience, touch screen monitors that offer a variety of audio/video, privacy, personal reading lamps, award winning menus, and 24-hour prior seat booking among other services. The Seoul based airline presently flies to 116 domestic and international destinations including Amsterdam, Atlanta, Dubai, Istanbul, Paris, Toronto, Beijing, and Zurich.
